Our Running Shoes

Blood, Sweat and ...

In recent times two dedicated men put on their running shoes for Bigshoes in order to bring in much needed financial assistance to us, they are David Abramowitz and James Wellsted - brother of Michael Wellsted, who has done this for us before!

David took part in the Tel Aviv 100 Birthday Commemoration celebrations, part of which consisted in a full marathon - all 42.195km! David completed in position 921 (5hours and 28 minutes). By partaking he was able to raise more than R15,000 for Bigshoes!

James did it the real hard way. He took part in one of the legs of the Racing The Planet endurance race. The race across the Namib desert was one of the gruelling sections of the 4 Deserts Race.
